Chicago Pre Construction Condos
Pre construction condos in Chicago are often marketed with some great incentives to buy early. Not only is the pricing better, but a prospective buyer often has a say in the layout of the design, color choices on details and sometimes optional appliance upgrades. Many developers showcase their projects on websites that feature virtual tours that give a good representation of what the condo has to offer.
The number of new pre construction projects is constantly increasing, but here are a few examples of some of the current projects creating a lot of interest.
The Mandarin Oriental Tower is slated for completion in 2009. Located on 215 North Michigan Avenue, this development will have a total of 500 condos, both hotel units and permanent residential units. People living there will have their own retail shopping paradise because the lower 28 floors of the building are marked as retail space, health club and parking.
The journey from blueprint to ground breaking for the Chicago Spire has taken nearly as many turns as the building's design will. With a two degree rotation for each of the 150 stories, this development on North Lake Shore Drive and East Ohio Street should be completed in 2010. An amazing total of 1,300 condos are planned.
The Ritz-Carlton aims to pamper residents on 664 North Michigan Avenue. Services provided for those living there include car wash, laundry, house keeping, absentee residents can request that their pets be checked on, and if health is a concern there are personal trainers on staff in the fitness center and spa.
Personal care is the cornerstone for Canyon Ranch Living condos. When it's completed in 2010, it will be 67 stories of luxury condos on 680 North Rush Street. The building's Wellness Center will employ specialists in exercise and healthy eating.
The 92 stories of The Trump International Hotel and Tower on 401 North Wabash Avenue make it world contender in size. The 758 units will be divided into residential and hotel condos, but all will be serviced with valet, maid and laundry plus most have a fireplace. An extensive fitness center and spa is part of the package deal that will be completed in 2009.
XO Condominiums plans to take very good care of its residents with what it calls Spa XO. This health club will be located adjacent to the two towers of XO on 1712 South Prairie Avenue. Total wellness care is the focus there among a stunning landscaped indoor park replete with waterfall, sauna and steam room. The slightly leaning, dancing towers are scheduled for completion in 2010.
If lofts are more your style, then The Lofts at Lakeview Collection might be right for you. Located on 3126 N. Ashland, this six story building's four residential floors sit atop the lower two retail floors. The 31 condos are expected to be done by 2009.
Two projects, MoMo on 9 W Washington and SoNo on 1454 N Dayton are ultra modern in design and detail. MoMo will be a single 33 story tower, while SoNo will be comprised of two towers. Both projects plan to offer buyers luxury interior finishes like gourmet kitchens, large soaker tubs in the baths and all of the other standard amenities.
The West Loop is going to welcome Catalyst Condos at Washington Boulevard and Des Plains Street. The 212 condo units offered for pre sale will feature European style kitchens with top notch appliances. Catalyst is shooting for 2009 as their finish date for this development.
The Gold Coast area will be home to 10 E Delaware. This condo project offers one to three bedrooms per plan with customary interior details and appliances. Residents can pick out a floor plan early ahead of the late 2009 estimated completion. 10 E Delaware residents will be treated to services rivaling luxury hotel standards.
