Michigan Avenue Tower II

You might call Michigan Avenue Tower II, located on 1400 South Michigan Avenue in the South Loop, the encore to the very successful Michigan Avenue Tower I. Although not scheduled to top out until spring of 2008 with deliveries planned for fall of that year, Tower II can already be called a success in its own right. The building is rapidly selling out and although the original number of units was 268, several people have bought two units and combined them which may drop the actual number to 260.

The 28 story building is coming together as a result of developer Frankel and Giles, contractor Walsh Construction and architects Pappageorge/Haymes. The two bedroom, two bath with optional den runs from 1,027 to 1,260 square feet. And the three bedroom, two bath plus den measures 1,384 square feet.

Michigan Avenue Tower II certainly lives up to the standard set by the first tower of the same name. Buyers respond to well designed luxury homes in such a great location and when a development like this becomes so popular, it’s no wonder that a repeat performance is demanded.
