Chicago New Construction Condos


With developers building record numbers of new real estate projects in Chicago every year, buyers have an almost endless supply of new construction condos from which to choose.  While a lot of potential buyers get in early on the pre construction phase of a building, there are plenty of great deals to be had with new construction condos as well.  Good locations, already finished or nearly complete construction and a shorter move-in wait are all a plus with new construction.  Here are some prime examples.

If you like shopping then The Residences at 900 on 900 N Michigan Avenue are the perfect luxury condos.  Living in one of the forty-eight units puts you in the same building as retailers such as Bloomingdale's.  The one to three bedroom condos are detailed with ten foot ceilings and white oak hardwood flooring.

Gas fireplaces and nine foot high floor to ceiling windows in the condos at The Pinnacle on 21 E Huron Street are two main features.  The 213 units at the Pinnacle come with one to four bedrooms and baths, funny equipped kitchens and oak flooring. The building services include maid service, concierge service, laundry, room service, health club and absentee pet care.

The Emerald on 120 S Halsted Street is comprised of two towers that were constructed with "green" environmentally responsible components.  A combined 24 stories and 212 condo units are available there.

Library Tower is a 17 story condominium on 511 S Plymouth.  The units here come with one to three beds and baths plus there are penthouse suites on the upper level.  An appliance package, hardwood floors and building fitness center and roof deck come with the homes.

A shimmering glass facade identifies this building on 611 S Wells Street near historic Printer's Row.  Vetro Condominiums rises 31 stories and contains 233 units, all with gourmet kitchens, balconies and resident parking space.  The building also has a fitness center and business center.

The Heritage at Millennium Park actually preserved some heritage, or history, by refurbishing the fronts of four nearby historic buildings during the construction process.  Located on 130 N Garland Court, this building stretches 57 stories tall and boasts 358 condo units with 27 floor plans available.  

The Gold Coast area is home to 30 West Oak.  These luxury condos have only two residences per floor and feature walk-in closets and soaker tubs in the baths.  Fully equipped gourmet kitchens, balconies and floor to ceiling windows are standard there.

565 Quincy is a conversion project where the developer added 11 floors to the original 7 of the building.  Those first 7 floors will contain 54 loft units, while the new additional 11 floors will be divided into 187 condos.  The "Q Room" of the building houses a bowling alley, fitness center and other features.

R+D659 on Randolph Street is a 15 story condominium with 236 living units.  The upper floors are devoted to the 6 penthouse suites.  Lower building levels are filled with retail space, a fitness center and sun deck.
    
1160 S Michigan Avenue, The Columbian parcels out its 220 condos in three groups.  Seven residences per floor make up the Boulevard, The Tower has five condos per floor and The Penthouse limits it to three per floor.  The top two levels of the Columbian contain just two residences per floor.

340 On The Park, located at 340 E Randolph, was built with efficiency in mind.  The building is LEED certified, making it a great place to live, knowing your home can be luxurious and still conserve energy and protect the environment.  A unique feature is the 2.5 story tall winter garden on floor 25 of the building.
