2930 Sheridan

Lakeview is one of Chicago’s most popular (and populated) neighborhoods, and with good reason. The area is famous for its multitude of entertainment and nightlife options, luxury living spaces, easy public transportation, and, of course, the Lake Michigan waterfront. There are always many great places to live here, but one of the more interesting as of late is the 2930 Sheridan Tower. Located at 2930 North Sheridan Road, the building is a 22-story structure that is being converted in condo homes. 2930 will offer 252 units for sale with one or two bedrooms and it is hoped that the building will be attractive to young couples and singles due to 2930’s combination of price and location. Lakeview is a very competitive market, so 2930’s game will have to be strong to meet its goals here.

2930 Sheridan has a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plans that potential residents can choose from, and they seem to of about average size. No matter the floor plan, buyers can purchase a unit in what is called “as is” condition, which we take to mean in a standard level of trim, or in “refinished” condition, which is more high-end and custom. The upgrades include new lighting, hardwood floors, Berber or Sisal carpeting, new interior doors, kitchen islands, and undermount sinks. Both finish levels do come with in-unit washer and dryer hookups and new electrical wiring. The 2930 building proper feature shared amenities like a professionally designed lobby, a fitness center, storage spaces, a bike room, a sky deck, professional landscaping, and a community room. There are also on-site security, management, and engineers to keep things running smoothly. There are a dry cleaners and a convenience store on-site, and indoor and outdoor parking is available. Prices start at $239,900 for one-bedrooms, $249,900 for one-bedrooms with a den, and at $249,900 for two-bedroom units.

Kroupa Development is the firm behind the 2930 conversion. Company president Bob Kroupa is no stranger to the Chicago real estate market and has been on the scene for more than a decade. Kroupa was behind the Mildred Court building in Lincoln Park and many others and the company feels that the 2930 Sheridan Tower will be another successful venture in their portfolio. Homes are available to purchase and move-in as of this writing, so interested parties will want to get more information as soon as possible. Shoppers can contact agent Genna Hill with @ Properties by phone at 312-491-0200 or visit www.2930north.com for floor plans, virtual tours, and all else.
