Chicago Luxury Condos
The number of luxury condominiums being built in Chicago is continually rising, along with the amenities and services offered in these buildings. The desire for homes that cater to a posh lifestyle seems to be growing, fueling the market for developers to design condos with more luxury details and finishes to satisfy the wants of the buyers. These developments are truly impressive and showcase some amazing living spaces.
The Ritz-Carlton on 664 North Michigan Avenue is one example of these luxury homes. Under construction, the 86 units at the Ritz will come with one to three bedrooms and baths. The interior finishes will of course be fantastic, but the list of building services is even more incredible. Residents can opt for house keeping, laundry service, catering service, car wash and even pet and plant care for when the home owner is absent. The Ritz houses a fitness center with personal trainers, spa, movie room, wine cellar and gathering room.
Canyon Ranch Living is a preconstruction project expected to be completed in 2010. Located on 680 North Rush Street, Canyon will contain 384 total units in its 67 floors. Of those condo units, 128 will be hotel units. The condos come with one to three bedrooms and baths and residents will have the use of the Wellness Center. At the center, residents can consult trained physical therapists and nutrition experts for a complete health program.
If privacy is a priority, then 30 West Oak is the place for you. This building has 46 condo units, most of which are only two units per floor. The condos are spacious with two to four bedrooms and two and a half to four and a half baths. The roomy eighteen by twenty-four foot terraces increase the living space, and ten foot high ceilings make it feel even larger. 30 West Oak also has a building fitness center for residents to use.
Keeping with the thirty theme, 30 West Erie also offers private living with only two condo units per floor. The total number of condos in the building is only twenty, each with three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The exterior of 30 West Erie is classic brink and stone in design.
Moving up in number, 50 East Chestnut takes the whole concept of privacy to a new level with its thirty-four homes that are one residence per floor. These luxury condos have three bedrooms and three and a half baths, ceiling heights of almost ten feet, private elevator for every residence, library, laundry room and two terraces. The building provides a fitness center and dog exercise area.
The Trump International Hotel and Tower on 401 North Wabash Avenue is in the preconstruction phase and slated to be done in 2009. At 92 stories, it will be one of the tallest in the world and contain 758 mixed condo and hotel units furnished with hardwood flooring, fireplaces and roomy closets. The Trump Tower will also feature total room service with maid, dry cleaning, valet and catering. Residents also get to enjoy the health club, spa and ballrooms.
The Palmolive Building has been labeled by many as one of the top luxury condominiums in Chicago. Located on 159 East Walton, it has one hundred condos detailed with white oak floors, gas fireplaces trimmed in marble, whirlpool tubs and terraces. The penthouse suites are even more lavish with twelve foot ceilings, library, and in the case of the upper level penthouses, an additional terrace that wraps around the unit.
XO Condominiums, with its by now famous design, will call 1712 South Prairie Avenue home by 2010. The two towers of this development are meant to mimic the stance of dance partners. The 34 and 35 story towers will be close together at the base and then inch even closer. Again, this luxury development plans to meet the needs of residents with a complete health center called Spa XO. Design plans include indoor waterfalls, an indoor park, sauna and steam room.
These examples of luxury condos in Chicago illustrate the total lifestyle package that developers are offering to buyers. People aren't just shopping for a comfortable condo in a nice location. They are looking for a home that meets their personal needs and makes their lives easier.
