13 Prairie Point Condos To Be Auctioned On March 14th
February 6, 2010 - It’s Chicago real estate auction time again. Inland Real Estate Auction services is handling the bidding on 13 condos at Prairie Point condominiums. The tower sits on 1600 South Prairie Avenue anad the auction event will take place on March 14th at the Chicago Hilton which is lcoated on 720 South Michigan Avenue. Registration will start at 1PM and the actual bidding will begin promptly at 2PM.
Of the 13 Chicago condos to be auctioned, 12 of them are on floors 11 to 21, according to an article in the Tribune. Inland’s brochure states that there is a spacious penthouse unit up for bid as well. This condo has a reserve price though. It is unfinished, has 2,800 square feet as well as a terrace with 900 square feet. The other 12 condos up for bid are all finished out already and have views of the skyline, lake and Soldier Field.
Speaking of condo finishes, the units at Prairie Point come with a fireplace, granite counter tops, energy efficient kitchen appliances and hardwood flooring. Residents should appreciate building perks like the sundeck with whirlpool, fitness center, party room, business center, valet service and adjacent park with a dog run, according to Inland’s auction brochure.
Suggested opening bids start at $189,000. The Gammonley Group had been listing the condos from around the $380,000s to $1.82 million. Parking spots aren’t included in the auction price though and will have to be purchased seperately.
You can check out the condos from noon to 3PM on February 20th and March 13th. There are more open house dates from 1PM to 4PM on February 28th and March 7th and from 5:30PM to 8PM on March 3rd and 10th.
