Parc Huron Nearly At Its Peak

October 26, 2009 - For anyone keeping up with the progress of the Parc Huron, the former Lenner condo tower project that was taken over by M&R Development and reborn as a rental project, the 21 story high-rise has nearly reached its full height. This rental Chicago real estate project plans on gaining Silver LEED certification. The River North tower, located on 469 West Huron Street, will be leasing 221 units that have from one to three bedrooms and monthly rents between about $1,530 and $3,600 per month.

The Parc Huron will have a resident terrace with a fireplace and fitness center along with sauna, pool and steam room. Indoor heated parking is also available. Unit plans detailed in a recent press release had one bedroom apartments with 614 to 729 square feet and one bedroom plus den units with 780 to 871 square feet. The two bedroom residences measure up at 1,100 to 1,350 square feet and the three bedroom apartments will have from 1,375 to 1,443 square feet.

There have been several Chicago condo projects that have converted to rental towers this year and there certainly is no shortage of apartments. But then again, according to numbers released by Appraisal Research Counselors and quoted in a Tribune article, there have been 1,538 condos delivered this year in the South Loop alone, not to mention another 300 more scheduled for next year.
