September 21, 2009 - At R+D659 more than 100 Chicago condos have gone under contract since the developer decided to lower prices on the unsold units in the building. Their most recent flier advertised “massive price reductions,” and a free parking space was also thrown in for good measure. The copy on the advertisement also claims that, “This is the deal of a lifetime.” While that may be hard to prove with all the discounts being offered at Chicago real estate developments lately, the pricing certainly is competitive and over 100 units have gone under contract since the new prices went into effect.

The one bedroom condos at R+D659 had been priced at $308,000 and have since been lowered to $213,000. The one bedroom plus den units that previously were listed for $406,000 are now at $291,000. And the two bedroom condos that had been marketed for $440,000 are now selling for $336,000.

The 17 story tower has 236 condos with 20 floor plans available. Most of the units have 9′ ceilings except the penthouse condos which are 12′ high. Open layouts, European kitchens with the standard luxury finishes and hardwood floors are included. The building is pet-friendly and has a dog run, resident lounge with pool, flat screen television, kitchen, dining room and business center. Outdoors you’ll find a sun deck, swimming pool, gardens and BBQ area.
