Aqua Apartment Update

July 9, 2009 - Progress at Aqua is moving along faster than you can say high tide. The Magellan Development construction update stated that the second floor fitness center is open and ready for use with the exception of some artwork. Other second floor work in progress is the Spa and Media Room, while on the third floor they are installing deck furniture, umbrellas and live plants. The way the weather has been lately, umbrellas will be handy for rain, not sun, but the plants will appreciate the water. One other notable piece of interior progress is that crews began painting the first condo floor, level 53. Deliveries on the Chicago condos at Aqua are still scheduled to start this October.

As for the 474 apartments there, at last count around 30% are already leased. Residents were able to start moving in back in May, and renters have access to all of Aqua’s amenities just as the condo owners do.

Rents run from about $1,478 to $1,940 per month for studios at Aqua. One bedroom, one bath units range from $1,964 to $2,374 per month and two bedroom, two bath apartments are $3,006 to $3,111 per month. Added to that are several other fees, including a $450 move-in fee, $50 application fee, pet fee and parking fee. But even with the added fees, the rental units at Aqua are shaping up to be some of the most popular Chicago Apartments on the market right now.
