February 12, 2009 - One high-rise under construction that seems to fly under the radar, whether it is intentional or not, is Silver Tower. There has however been a flurry of at least photo updates from their building web log lately, so evidentially there has been some major progress on the tower. It looks as though the work has progressed to the 36th floor of this 40 story high-rise, and while not finished on the inside it does appear to be topped out.

Silver Tower, located on 303 W. Ohio Street, has a total of 225 Chicago condo units. Most of the glass has been installed, and work on the interiors is evidentially in full swing, judging from the pictures. The condos have from one to three bedrooms (with optional den) and prices on the units range anywhere from the high $200,000s to the upper $700,000s.

The most unique residence at Silver Tower is unit #1201, which is the tower’s sole duplex. The two story condo also sports a north and east facing two story terrace outside, which would be an excellent place for entertaining. The condos all have the expected luxury finishes and features like Kitchen Aid stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, marble master baths, oak hardwood flooring, carpeted bedrooms, high speed Internet and climate control system. The building has a Sky Lobby or 24 hour fitness center, 24 hour doorman, bike and storage room, dog run, community room and landscaped garden and patio for resident use.
